Home from Home

This was a piece in response to a brief asking us to represent a self recorded collection using only typo-graphics. I decided to compare the experience of traveling on a bus in my home town with one in London. I recorded the first twenty two minutes of each journey, both at the same times and days, created a comparison of sounds and conversations. To represent these visually I did so using just two sets of type and experimented to convey differences in atmosphere. The book is broken up into two journeys that meet at the spine.

Dear Gordon: No to Nuclear

This was a piece in response to a brief asking us to research Nuclear power and come up with an argument for or against the subject. I decided to design a campaign against the Government proposal to build more Nuclear power stations in the UK. The campaign came in the form of a petition/info pack, poster and set of badges. It is aimed at adults in the UK, to make people consider the impact of a Nuclear Britain.

Russell Sqaure: a transitional space

This was a piece in response to a brief asking us to represent a particular place as a transitional space. My take was to represent Russell Square typographically. The piece is a two poster series and documents the shift in atmosphere between night and day in the space, using typefaces collected from two very different sides of the area.
